The C-series trains are a planned class of electric multiple unit for Transperth. The new trains will be longer than existing Transperth trains and will feature four doors along the side of each carriage, rather than the two on the A and B series trains. ==History== The C-series trains will be roughly equivalent to two 3-car B-series trains coupled together, which is normal practice on the North-South (Joondalup-Mandurah) lines of the Perth urban network. On 21 August 2014, the Minister for Transport, Dean Nalder announced that the Public Transport Authority was going to market with an Request For Information (RFI) for the manufacture and supply of 50 new railcars (to be called C-series), to be constructed at a rate of at-least 5 trains per year from 2018 to 2028.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au/Lists/StatementsBarnett/DispForm.aspx?ID=8564 )〕 The RFI specified that: * the railcars be able to match current timetables (with speeds of at least 130 km/h) * the railcars have at least four doors per carriage to allow faster loading and unloading at station platforms * the railcars be able to couple together with existing A and B series trains for rescue purposes The project would also encompass the upgrading, maintenance and operation of facilities to maintain the new C-series trains.〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Transperth C-series train」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
